There is developed a direction, including the development of scientific bases of directed synthesis of functionally substituted derivatives of a-methyl benzyl substituted phenols, bis-phenols, and metal complexes based on them, which are effective anti-oxidation, anti-corrosion, anti-wear and anti-microbial additives to lubricants and cutting fluids;

The effect of structure on the reactivity of the synthesized compounds has been studied; On the basis of kinetic factors the mechanism of their antioxidant action has been established. With the use of the synthesized compounds and product additives of various functionalities new compositions of the emulsion and oil based cutting fluids for metal cutting have been developed and commercialized;

A number of new biocide additives providing long-term protection of lubricants, fuels and cutting fluids from microbiological damage have been developed; Scientific basis for effective decontamination and remediation biotechnologies of contaminated soils of Apsheron Peninsula by use of metabolic potential of microorganisms and plants have been developed;

By the methods of FT-IR- spectroscopy and chromatomasspectroscopy oil biomarkers (relict hydrocarbons) that are typical for different oils of oil-producing regions of Azerbaijan have been studied; P.Mamedova participated in several projects funded by the Science and Technology Centre in Ukraine (STCU) and the Civilian Research and Development Foundation (CRDF), Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and SOCAR Science Fund (SF):

1. Oil Spill Bioremediation (STCU, №3626, 04.2006-10.2008);

2. Azerbaijani Oils’ Biomarkers (STCU, №4521, 01.09.2008-01.12.2009);

3. Phytoremediation of petroleum contaminated soils (STCU, №4799, 01.05.2009-01.05.2011);

4. Development of ecologically pure fertilizers biochemical production technology (STCU, №5081, 01.05.2009-01.05.2011);

5. Development of high-performance lubricating fluid compositions (CRDF, №AZC1-3118-BA-08, 01.05.2008-01.07.2009);

6. Microbiological production of fodder proteins (CRDF, №AZB1-3124-BA-08, 01.05.2008-01.07.2009);

7. Developing effective protective agents to oils, fuels and fluids (SDF under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan EIF-2011-1 (3)-ET, 01.01.2012 - 01.07.2013);

8. Remediation of Oil and Heavy Metals Polluted Soils (SOCAR SF, 10.2012 – 10.2014);

9. Oil Spill Bioremediation of Baku Bay coastal zone (STCU№ 5915, 02.2014-02.2016);

10. Developing alkyl(alkenyl)phenol-based reagents preventing the processes of microbiological damage and biocorrosion of the oil products (SDF  under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, EİF/MQM/Elm-Təhsil-1-2016-1(26) (01.09.2018-01.09.2020)

11. Development of nanocomposites with oil displacing and biocidal properties (SOCAR SF, 10LR – AMEA, 10.09.2019-10.09.2020)

12. Application of innovation technologies in hard-to-recover and  heavy oil fields (SOCAR SF, 14LR – AMEA, 05.01.2022-05.01.2023)14-02.2016);

The work on «The State Program on providing population of the Azerbaijan Republic with foodstuff in 2008-2015» and «The State Program on reduction of poverty and sustainable development in Azerbaijan Republic in 2011-2015» has been completed.
