Basic activity directions	Growth of chain and layer single crystals of Tl(In,Ga)CVI, TlMC₂^IV and AIMC₂^IV (M-In, Ga, Co, Ni, Fe, Cr, Mn, Dy, Er, Yb, Sm; A-Cu, Ag, Au; C-S, Se, Te) – types, investigation of electrical photoelectrical, thermal, optical properties of these crystals at various extreme effects: electric and magnetic fields, temperature, pressure, laser irradiation roentgen-gamma radiation, electron and neutron bombardment, identify prospects for their practical application.
Main scientific achievements	Technology of growth of chain and layer single crystals of TlMC₂^IV and AIMC₂^IV (M-In, Ga, Co, Ni, Fe, Cr, Mn, Dy, Er, Yb, Sm; A-Cu, Ag, Au; C-S, Se, Te) - types have been worked out. Electrical photoelectrical, thermal, optical properties of these crystals have been investigated at various extreme effects: electric and magnetic fields, temperature, pressure, laser irradiation roentgen-gamma radiation, electron and neutron bombardment. Roentgen and gamma-detectors, tenzometer, photoelectrical analisator were created on their base.
