Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS Institute of Chemistry of Additives held the awards ceremony for the winners of the competition for young people - “Award of academician Ali Guliyev” and “The best research work award”.

Director of the Institute, academician Vagif Farzaliyev said that the scientific and social role of young people working at ANAS is increasing daily. He noted that, the quality of research work on the protection of candidate and doctoral theses has increased.

He noted that, the awards and scientific competitions held to encourage young scientists and specialists working at the institute are moving to the traditional level.

In turn, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS Famin Salmanov, said that, holding competitions on the principle of healthy competition among young researchers is very important. Speaking of the fact that, the number of scientific contests among young scientists is increasing every year, he added that a number of contests were held, devoted to the "Day of Science" organized this year in Azerbaijan, and for the first time among school chemists were organized the summer school and " Chemistry evening" in high school.

Further, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute Afsun Sujaev in his speech noted that, traditionally, during the election of candidates, the relevance of the topic, the practicality of the results obtained, scientific works published on the chosen topic were taken into account. The selection of winners by experts was carried out on the principle of transparency.

Member of the competition committee, Ph.D. in Chemistry Shahmardan Aliyev informed about the main criteria for evaluating the work.

In conclusion, the winners were awarded the diplomas.
