Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Director of ANAS Institute of the History of Science, Doctor of History, Associate Professor Maryam Seyidbayli  by invitation of Director of the St. Petersburg branch of the S.Vavilov Institute of Natural Sciences and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, PhD in Sociology Nadejda Asheulova was on a scientific trip to St.Petersburg.

During the visit, M.Seyidbayli attended the 40th International Scientific Conference on "Scientific St.Petersburg - Russian Academy of Sciences is 29th". She delivered a paper on "Role of the St. Petersburg scientist in the development of Azerbaijan medince".

During the visit, M.Seyidbayli met with Russian scientists - Nadejda Asheulova, Yuri Baturin, as well as with scientists from Ukraine and Belarus. The sides exchanged views on bilateral relations and discussed the prospects for future cooperation.

M.Seyidbayli informed on joint projects of ANAS and Russian Academy of Sciences and on signed bilateral agreements.

Later, Azerbaijan scientist and foreign colleagues visited the Saint-Petersburg Mining University, the Museum of Oriental Studies.
