Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

A memorial event was held at the Huseyn Javid’s House Museum on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the death of the great Azerbaijani playwright and poet Huseyn Javid.

Speaking at the event, director of the museum Doctor of philological sciences Gulbeniz Babakhanli spoke about tragic life path and rich work of an outstanding thinker. She said that a true acquittal was given to Javid in 1982 by a brilliant person Heydar Aliyev, thus, thanks to great leader’s efforts, his remains were brought to Azerbaijan from Siberia. At the direction of the national leader, museums of a prominent writer were opened in Baku and Nakhchivan, and a mausoleum was erected on his grave in Nakhchivan.

Further, scientific secretary of the museum, Ilaha Novruzova informed on the work done in this cultural center directed of researching the heritage of Javid, including on the 20-volume collection of scientific studies "Javidology."

Finally, the film “Return” dedicated to H. Javid and a video clip of his photographs from different years were displayed.
