Existing methods now allow to detect coronavirus in 2 hours. Russian scientists have created a test system that will reduce this time to 90 minutes. The time savings are substantial, especially considering the amount of research needed.

The development of the Federal Biomedical Agency will determine COVID-19 not only faster, but also significantly more accurately than analogues. This was told by the head of the FMBA Veronika Skvortsova. According to her, the test system will be submitted for state registration next week.

In addition, work is underway to create rapid tests. As Skvortsova put it, we are talking about identifying the virus "at the patient’s bedside." It is assumed that the result will be obtained within two weeks.

Earlier it became known that the Center for Virology and Biotechnology "Vector" began to test the vaccine against coronavirus in laboratory animals. If everything goes according to plan, it will be possible to use it already at the end of this year.
