“Caspian Sea: past, present, future” international scientific-practical conference was held in Makhachkala, Republic of Dagestan.

In the conference which organized by Dagestan Academy of Sciences and Dagestan State University was discussed the environmental problems of the Caspian Sea, study the changes in ecosystem and implementation of the scientific project in this field.

Director of the Institute of Microbiology of ANAS, acad. Mammad Salmanov delivered a lecture on “Ecology of the water area of Caspian Sea islands”.
