Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS Institute of Architecture and Art hosted the seminar “Modern Azerbaijani theater and mass media: problems and prospects” by the organization of Department of Theatre, Film and Television of the scientific institution.

The event was opened by head of Department of Theatre, Film and Television, PhD in Oriental Studies, senior lecture, Professor Vidadi Gafarov, who spoke about the mutual relation between the theater and the media and said that the main purpose of the seminar is to establish relations of cooperation between the theater and the media.

Then was listened a report of junior researcher of Department of Theater, Film and Television, specialist in drama study Konul Aliyeva, devoted to various aspects of theater and communication media.

At report discussion was attended the chief editor of a art bulk “Qobustan” Vagif Alikhanli, deputy editor of the “Culture” newspaper Hamid Rustamov, PhD in art history Aynura Mustafayeva and others who put forward their suggestions and recommendations, assessed the seminar as a significant step towards the establishment of inevitable dialogue between theater and media.

During the event, there was exchange of views on the current state of the relationship of theater and mass media and the existing problems and perspectives of further cooperation.
