Toyli Kamekov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan, visited ANAS Central Scientific Library (CSL).
Director of CSL, PhD in medical sciences Leyla Imanova provided information on the reforms held in the library, fulfillments done in vary of directions. It was noted the implementing exchange projects, organizing exhibitions, necessity of setting links between libraries of both countries.
Ambassador T. Komekov spoke about development way of Turkmenistan in latest years and relations between two countries. Amongst other sectors, both countries collaborate in the science, education, and culture. Making speech on close partnership via ANAS, T. Komekov dealt with event dedicated to Turkmen poet Mahtumgulu Fergai’s 290th anniversary at Institute of Manuscripts in last year and his meeting with vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli.
Ambassador visited Exhbiiton and Acdemicians’ hall of the Library, as well as Eastern Literature and Main book foundations. Section portraying life and creativity of the notable literary figures of Turkmen literature aroused interest on diplomat.
In closing, T. Komekov donated his “Turkmenistan: peace and development” book, “Vivid legend” book reflecting national carpet-weaving traditions of Turkmenistan and composed of ancient carpet photos and other publications to the library.
In a meeting, was agreed signing of cooperation treaty with the purpose to develop ties.
