Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

General director of the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov made a speech at a special meeting of the Presidium of ANAS dedicated to the results of participation of the Academy in the “TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan” festival.

The scientist assessed the holding of the “TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan” festival in Baku for the first time outside Turkey as a historical event. He noted that this prestigious event, along with popularization of science and technology, wide promotion of aerospace technologies, defense industry and innovative entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, supporting talented young people with digital knowledge and skills, strengthening human resources in the country and creating the basis for the development of national technological solutions, is also of great political importance. Thus, the gathering of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey on May 28 – Independence Day gave a political message to the whole world and demonstrated the unwavering friendship and strategic alliance between the two brotherly countries.

Misir Mardanov stressed the important role of friendly relations between the heads of states in the development of relations between the two fraternal countries and the support of Turkey in all areas, mutual exchange of experience, is of particular importance.

The general director noted that the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics led by him is represented by an important project, which is the result of fundamental research at the “TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan” festival. He stressed that the project is highly appreciated by the scientific and educational institutions of the country.

“In order to better present the intellectual and innovation potential of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, to identify existing problems in the relevant direction and to evaluate the work carried out, a special, continuous-working, competent and talented staff should be established at the Presidium of ANAS. This structure should be closely acquainted with the work carried out in the research institutes of the Academy, with the scientific results obtained by scientists and specialists and bring to the attention the relevant information at the meetings of the Presidium,” the scientist said. The general director noted that taking the necessary steps to present the potential of ANAS to the general public at a high level will play an important role in showing confidence in the Academy.

Corresponding member of ANAS Misir Mardanov noted the active participation of ANAS in 2023 in the 6th “TEKNOFEST” festival, which will be held in Samsun, Turkey and the importance of purposeful work on the implementation of important events related to the demonstration of products in the field of acience and technology.
