On June 28, ANAS National Museum of History of Azerbaijan held a meeting with the director of the Georgian National Museum David Lordkipanidze.
At the meeting, Acting President of ANAS, academician Arif Hashimov, Deputy Minister of Culture, corresponding member of ANAS Sevda Mammadaliyeva, general director of the Museum, academician Naila Valikhanli and Nasir Guluzade, PhD in history, associate professor, head of the Archaeological scientific-fund department of the Museum.
At the meeting, the sides discussed the development of a project to investigate the fauna and hominids of the pre-historic period, both in Azerbaijan and Georgia, with the use of modern technology.
During the discussion, it was especially emphasized that the future project is multidisciplinary and at the same time it is important to pay attention to the involvement of young personnel.
It was emphasized that the study of natural conditions and morphological features of the period on the basis of animal and human remains found during archaeological excavations would be of special importance for the science of both countries.
