Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Today, Institute of Physics conducted next bureau meeting of the Department of Physical-Mathematical and Technical Sciences (DPMTS).

First, members of the department congratulated the Head of the Department of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, Dr.Sci.Tech, Professor Masuma Mammadova with awarding of "Honorary Diploma of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan" for merits in the development of national science. The meeting, which was attended by members of the Bureau, Director of the institution was opened by the Acting Academician-Secretary of DPMTS, Director of the Institute of Physics of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS Nazim Mammadov.

The scientist informed about issues on the agenda. At the event were discussed projects submitted for the competition projects of complex research programs announced by Science Development Fund under the President of Azerbaijan Republic. It was noted that, this competition focused on promoting the activities of research institutions in the academic and educational systems, departments and centers, including science related other structures, as well as providing them with modern scientific equipment, devices and equipment and creating conditions to support their sustainability, etc.

Then PhD in Engineering Rashid Alakbarov was approved as the Deputy Director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS, PhD in Chemistry Khagani Mammadov as Head of the laboratory of "Radiochemistry" of the Institute of Radiation Problems.

Also, at the meeting were discussed results of the attestation and the issue of establishing at the Institute of Control Systems of Educational Department, conducted at the Institute of ANAS.
