UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan Irfan Siddiq and head of Shamakhi region Executive Power Asif Agayev visited Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory namaded after Nasreddin Tusi.

Welcoming the guests, Deputy Director of the Observatory, PhD in physics Khidir Mikhayilov informed them on international relations and activities of the venture carried out here.

Then, guests were familiar with automation and modernization of 2 m telescope in observatory, light receivers, observation materials which are obtained via them, software used in thear development and scientific results.

The Ambassador I. Siddiq noted that, the conditions created at Observatory are on a high level. He expressed his satisfaction with familiarization with Observatory.
