Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

“Geological heritage of the Republic of Azerbaijan” book was published in the “Nafta” house of the Institute of Geology of ANAS.

Authors of the book are Talat Kalangarli, Dr. geology-mineralogy chief of“Geotectonics and regional geology” department and Shikhali Babayev, Dr. geology-mineralogy chief of “Paleontology and stratigraphy”.

ANAS president acad. Akif Alizadeh is the editor of the book which aims the public focusing on rare stratigraphic, paleontological, tectonic, petrological-mineralogical, and hydrological-hydro geological objects of geological heritage of the Republic of Azerbaijan and explaining their significance.

The edition embraces data about mud volcanoes, mineral deposits, and unique geomorphological, stratigraphic, tectonic, hydrological and hydrogeological objects via photographs. All data have been introduced both in Azerbaijani and Russian languages .
