Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

On February 9, a constituent assembly of the newly created Young Scientists and Specialists Council of the Oil-Gas Institute of ANAS was held.

Opening the assembly, Deputy Director of Science at the institute, Dr. Geology-mineralogy Prof. Vagif Gurbanov stated that, this scientific venture pays special attention to the youth’s activity, especially to the increasing academic capacity of the youth, boosting their inventions and discoveries in various fields and funding project and programs.

Then, chairman of ANAS Council of Young Scientists and Specialists PhD in Physics Assoc. Prof. Famin Salmanov informed about activities of cognominal councils of the Academy in accordance with the Decree of ANAS Presidium “On the creating ANAS Council of Young Scientists and Specialists”. Note that, Council of Young Scientists and Specialists and domestic councils, which formed as its structures, operate relying on “Charter”. Under Charter organizing the Council, its managerial staff, chairman and deputies, is carried out by total polls of the youth from the same institute.

At the event, by open ballot, a researcher of the Oil-Gas University – Ragsana Asgarova was elected the chairman of the Young Scientists and Specialists Council, Vusala Balakchi and Oleg Kirisenko – deputy chairmen, Yegana Hajiyeva – scientific secretary.

In closing, young scientists of the institute shared their opinions and recommended proposals.
