Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Under agreement of cooperation signed between ANAS and “Thomson Reuters”, Institute of Geography held a meeting with a representative of the agency in our country Aygun Babazade.

A.Babazade informed of the ways and rules of the publication of articles in journals of the database, management of scientific journals to international standards in the modern period, as well as the conditions of journals included in the authoritative scientific base of the world. She noted that the “Thomson Reuters” is one of the world's most prestigious providers of scientific and analytical information.

Speaking of “Web of Science” the basis of scientific information, the representative of the agency noted that recognized on the international stage research portal “Web of Science” previously dealt only with the definition of the citation index of scientific research and scientific publications. Later, thanks to the successful work done, the agency has become a leading global organization. The portal has 17 thousand of journals covering different spheres. Scientists here can find materials for scientific research and documents.

In conclusion A.Babazade responded numerous questions of the participants.
