“The rare trees and shrubs of Azerbaijan” book co-authored by Tofig Mammadov, director of ANAS Mardakan Dendrary corresponding member of ANAS, Tariyel Talibov, director of ANAS Institute of Bio resources of Nakhchivan Branch corresponding member of ANAS and prof. Elman Isgender.

Book published in the “Science” house informs about rare and endangered species of trees and shrubs belonging to 71 genera, 198 species and 42 families of Azerbaijan flora.

The book studies shrinking habitat of the plants, defines their criteria of threatness. In addition, book provides information about species habitats, biodiversity, causes of change of the natural stocks, and protective measures.

Publication is recommended to add into “Red Book”.

Book is especially important for keeping the ecological balance, recognition and enforcement the rare pearls.
