First undergraduate of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics (IGG) defended thesis work.

Safiya Aliyeva, who admitted to the master studies of the institute in 2015-2016, has submitted the results of studies “Gas hydrates of underwater mud volcanoes in the South Caspian Sea” in specialty “Sea and ocean seabed geology" to the open meeting of Specialized Master's Thesis Defense Council, chaired by chief of “Fluid dynamics of sedimentary basins” department of IGG, Academic Akpar Feyzullayev.

Meeting was attended by scientific secretary of the council, Ph.D. in Geology, Assoc. Prof. Yegana Latifova, members – Academic Fakhraddin Gadirov, Academic Arif Ismayilzadeh, corresponding member of ANAS Talat Kangarli, head of Science and Education Office of Presidium Administration of ANAS, corresponding member of ANAS Aminagha Sadigov and chief of Magistracy department, Ph.D. in Engineering Huseyn Huseynov.

S.Aliyeva has successfully defended master thesis supervised by Vice-President of ANAS, Academic Ibrahim Guliyev.
