Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Republic of Korea-Seoul held International Congress "ASEM17 / ANBRE17" on structural, mechanical, nano-, bio- and robot-engineering. During the congress, which was attended by scientists and specialists from 40 countries of the world about 400 oral presentations was listened and were held discussions on 200 poster on various scientific directions.

Within the framework of the event, the Institute of Geology and Geophysics organized a symposium "SM144: Modern multidisciplinary geomechanical problems".

At the symposium, under the supervision of the head of the Department of Technophysics and Geomechanics of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Academician Hatam Guliyev, 12 reports were submitted from Azerbaijan.

6 reports covered subjects of rather internal kernel of Earth, processes of deformation, deposits of hydrocarbons, the crystal base of the Southern Caspian Basin and other geologic-geophysical subjects.

The reports of Academician Hatam Guliyev aroused great interest of the congress participants and were discussed. During the discussions, the possibilities of cooperation with scientists and specialists of the countries represented were considered and specific research goals were determined.
