Deputy Director of the Institute of Philosophy of the China Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Chui Weihang and Head of the Department of this Institute, Professor Li He and employer Chu Chungming met with Vice-President of the ANAS, academician Isa Habibbeyli.

Vice-President of ANAS has told Chinese scientists about the steps taken in the direction of development of the Academy's relations and plans for the future. And the guests shared their views on the scientific research conducted in China.

Then, the guests got acquainted with the Center for Chinese Studies at the Institute of Literature after Nizami Ganjavi ANAS. Head of the Department of Azerbaijan-Asiatic Literary Relations, Professor Bedirkhan Ahmedov informed about the activities of the department. Coordinator of the Center for Chinese Studies Nargiz Kerimova shared her thoughts on the state of teaching Chinese. Then the center held discussions.

Let's note, that recently scientific relations between Azerbaijan and China are developing intensively. Mutual visits and concluded contracts create conditions for expanding cooperation. In the period of independence, the foundation of our relations with China was laid by the national leader Heydar Aliyev during his official visit to China in March 1994. Today this policy continues by President Ilham Aliyev. The official visits of the Head of State to China on March 17-19, 2005 and December 8-11, 2015, contributed to the further development of cooperation between the two countries.

A certain work is being done in the field of development of mutual scientific ties between the two countries. Last year, a delegation headed by ANAS Vice-President, academician Isa Habibbeyli visited China Academy of Social Sciences, were held important discussions on the prospects. Then, a large delegation led by the President of China Academy of Social Sciences visited our country. Academician Isa Habibbayli participated in the international conference "China's Development in the Context of a Changing World" (Beijing, November 17-18, 2017), held in Beijing, within the framework of which an agreement was reached in connection with the opening of scientific centers in both countries.
