Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History  hosted a conference on "We are proud of Mikhaylo heroism" on December 14.

The event is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Soviet Union Hero Mehdi Huseynzadeh.

First, national anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed, dedicated to the memory of the martyrs who lost their lives in the Second World War, as well as Azerbaijan's independence, territorial integrity and a minute of silence.

Director of the museum, academician Naila Velikhanli  spoke about the importance of the Order by AR President Ilham Aliyev “On holding the 100th anniversary of the Hero of the Soviet Union Mehdi Huseynzadeh”.

At event was told about the life of the legendary Ranger, who has earned a great glory and eternal memory of the Azerbaijani people.

Then, MP of the Milli Majlis Shamsaddin Hajiyev, Honored Artist, PhD in Art Ziyadkhan Aliyev and others spoke. Mehdi Azizbayov, M.Huseynzadeh’s nephew expressed gratitude to the leadership and participants of the conference.

At the end of the event, participants got acquainted with exhibition dedicated to Mehdi Huseynzadeh and publications related to Azerbaijani military arts.
