Basic scientific achievements

.Investigation of the concept of “the cultural hero” in common Turkic mythology and folklore, identification of its functional essence, and scholarly justification of its transformational forms within various folklore systems.

.Analysis of the mechanisms through which mythological characters (particularly the culture hero) change across time and space — following the developmental line myth → epic → folklore → written literature.

.Systematization of the interrelations between Azerbaijani folklore and classical literature, with a focus on the continuity and modification of folklore motifs within the written tradition.

.Comparative study of the motivational, structural, and typological parallels between the Oghuz epic and Celtic epics, aimed at revealing the commonalities of common European and common Turkic mythological consciousness.

.Development of conceptual issues in folklore theory — research relating to such categories as genre, structure, and the system of imagery.
