Awards and prizes In 2003, he organized the Shah Ismail Khatai International Symposium in Ankara, and in 2005, again in Ankara, the Nasimi International Symposium. For these contributions, he was awarded the Turkish Culture and Science Service Award by the Hüseyin Gazi Culture and Art Foundation on June 18, 2005. In 2006, for excellence in scientific publishing, he was awarded the Professor Osman Turan Achievement Award by the General Directorate of Turkish Hearths on May 6, 2007. On October 4, 2012, he became a laureate of the “Flag of Azerbaijan” Award. In 2014, he was awarded the Gold Medal for the Best Patriotic Researcher Scholar by the European Publishing House. He was also honored with a Certificate of Honor on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA).
