Basic activity directions	To prepare theoretical bases for archaeological research at the level of modern scientific and technical progress analyzing scientific versions and specific views of Azerbaijani archaeologists on archaeological cultures, archaeological sites and unique finds; to prepare scientific projects on the theoretical problems of the Azerbaijani archaeology together with numismatists, architects, anthropologists, ethnologists and epigraphists; participate in projects prepared by the aforementioned specialists; to study the rich history of the archaeological heritage. Publication of papers on theoretical problems of Azerbaijani archeology; to publish monographs on specific theoretical topics in national and foreign highly ranked journals; to participate in international scientific symposia and conferences; to prepare scientific works together with numismatists, architects, anthropologists, ethnologists and epigraphists on the theoretical problems of the Azerbaijani archeology; to prepare and publish articles and monographs on the rich history of the archaeological heritage of Azerbaijan.
