Basic activity directions   Synthesis and study of new organic compounds that improve the operational qualities of fuels and creation of fuel compositions based on them
Main scientific achievements

As antismoke additives a variety of metal-containing compounds have been synthesized;

A number of new organic compounds containing certain functional groups and hetero-atoms have been developed. It has been established that the most effective antismoke additives to diesel fuels are barium and calcium containing derivatives of alkylphenols;

ИХП-706 antismoke additive has been developed and commercialized; ИХП-712 antioxidant to jet oils has been developed;

New inhibitors of metal corrosion for corrosive medium containing carbonic acid and hydrogen sulfide have been developed;

A new fuel composition on the base of boric acid and antismoke additive has been developed; Work is underway to obtain biodiesel by the reaction of transesterification of vegetable oils in the presence of a nanocatalyst.

It has been established that the yield of biodiesel increases from 65% to 95% when using 1.5% (in terms of oil) of a nanocatalyst prepared according to a new method in the process of esterification of vegetable oils with low molecular weight alcohols.

A new method for obtaining pure glycerin from a mixture as an intermediate product in the biodiesel production process has been developed and applied.

New fuel compositions based on biodiesel and diesel fuel have been created. It has been established that when using this composition, the lubricating properties of the fuel against corrosion are improved, protection of equipment from corrosion is provided, the cetane number and resistance to microorganisms are increased.

As a result of some reactions of the conversion of glycerol obtained in the process of biodiesel production, new organic compounds containing nitrogen and sulfur have been synthesized and studied as diesel fuel additives.
