Main scientific achievements	Using of modern geochemical methods for research of sedimentary rocks and hydrocarbon fluids and basin modeling a number of fundamental problems was solved. These researches allowed revealing main peculiarities of Petroleum systems and Mud volcanism in South Caspian Basin. On the basis of complex geological-geophysical and GPS data as well as analysis of regularities of change in space conditions of hydrocarbon generation and migration a geodynamic model of formation of oil and gas fields in the South Caspian basin was developed.
