Basic activity directions   Creation of scientific bases of complex processing technology of ore and non-ore mineral raw materials of the republic
Main scientific achievements

The scientific bases and technological scheme of complex processing of sulfide polymetallic ores from Filizchay deposit has been developed in several variants (reprocessing of selective concentrates – CuS, InS, PbS, FeS2; autoclave lixiviation at the presence of oxygen or sulfur dioxide chloride sublimation and oth.). The suggested technological scheme along with some macro components (Fe, S, Cu, Zn, Pb) makes possible the extraction of valuable micro components (Ga, In, Ar, Ag, Cd). Theoretical and practical aspects have been developed for production of elementary sulfur by thermal and catalytic reduction with methane and its conversion products (CO+H2) sulfur gases (SO2, H2S, COS, CS2) from metallurgical and gas industry. The results were introduced at copper plant in Norilsk metallurgical mining enterprise (Russian Federation). Extraction of vanadium from ash wastes by oil residue burning at thermo-energetic stations (TES) has been purposed. Production process of a number of valuable products (Al2O3, Al2(SO4)3, Na2SO4, K2SO4 -(MgO, MgCl2, CaO, CaCl.) from clays and dolomite ores was developed.

There has been elaborated analytic 3 D model for dependence of non –balanced Gibbs energy on partial pressure of components at the process of reconstruction iron- and vanadium containing ore concentrates in the stream of natural gas, which allowed determining the parameters of partial pressures to reduce the initial temperature of reconstruction to1000 C.
