| Main scientific achievements | It mainly deals with the preparation of the collection of the monuments. At the present moment the sector is busy with the archaeological investigations of the monuments in the South-Eastern Azerbaijan. Over tens of new archaeological monuments have been discovered in Leric, Yardimli, Lenkeran, Astara, Masalli and Jelilabad regions and preliminary investigations had been carried out in several them.
Lots of works had been done on the preparation of the archaeological map and archaeological collection of the region. Preparation of the archaeological map of Lerik, Yardimli and Lenkeran regions had already been finished, but this work is to be continued in Masalli and Jelilabad regions. |
