Basic activity directions | Synthesis of new functionally substituted conjugated and isolated cyclopropane-containing vinyl cyclopropane monomers and complex investigation of formation and conversion processes of polymers on the basis of synthesized vinylcyclopropanes; establishment of fundamental dependences “structure-property”; creation of formation conception of functionally substituted polypentenamers and composition materials prepared on their basis; investigation of mechanism of addition, telomerization and polymerization reactions of vinylcyclopropanes; investigation of structure and properties of adducts, telomers, homo- and copolymers and also composition materials made with their participation; synthesis of carbo- and hetero-chain polymers and preparation of high-sensitive photo- and electron-resists on their basis; investigation of functionalization process of polyolefins and unsaturated elastomers and also development of composition materials of various functional purpose. | |
Main scientific achievements | The polymerization and copolymerization reaction of functionally substituted vinylcyclopropanes has been investigated and two-stage isomerization mechanism of their polymerization has been proposed. The methods of synthesis and modification of carbo- and hetero-chain polymers, including preparation of polymers sensitive to irradiation for making of photo- and electron-resists on their basis have been developed.
The functionalization of industrially produced polyolefins and unsaturated elastomers has been carried out, polyolefin- and polyalkadienesulphones, and also polymers with side cyclopropane groups fit to their use as the resist materials have been developed; unsaturated epoxyoligomers as the binders for composition materials have been prepared. Laboratory team during their scientific activity has published more than 400 scientific works and more than 20 doctoral and PhDs theses have been defended. |
