Basic activity directions	Investigation of the sources and historiography of historical demography of Azerbaijan, collection and publishing of the documents and materials on historical demography, research of the main periods of historical-demographic development.
Main scientific achievements	The history of formation of historical demography of Azerbaijan as a science was studied, classification and analysis of the sources was done, archives documents on the population census in Soviet Azerbaijan in 1920-1930s were collected and research of the problems of historical demography of Azerbaijan and its stages was carried out.
