This test is a nasal swab designed and sold by LabCorp. At first, the test will be available to medical professionals and other people at the forefront of the fight against the virus.

 LabCorp provided evidence that the home test is as safe and accurate as collecting samples from a doctor’s office, hospital, or other testing site.

Patients lubricate their nose with a test kit sent by the company and send it in insulated packaging back to the company.

LabCorp said it would first provide tests for health and emergency workers who might be exposed to the virus. Self-assembly kits will be available "in the coming weeks."
