Main scientific achievements V. A. Huseynov conducts research in the fields of theoretical particle physics, astrophysics and quantum field theory. In his scientific works he has investigated the neutrino-lepton processes in an external magnetic field, the new reaction channels, the spin asymmetries, the polarization and field effects arising in these processes, the decay of the single neutral bosons with the spins 0, 2 and 3 into the W-boson pair in an external magnetic field and the production of the single neutral bosons with the spins 0, 2 and 3 at the expense of the W-boson pair from the vacuum in an external electric field. Together with his co-authors V. A. Huseynov determined that a matter and an antimatter (in particular, a gas consisting of electrons and a gas consisting positrons) are asymmetrically heated by neutrinos and antineutrinos. It was also shown that a matter and antimatter are asymmetrically cooled at the expense of neutrino pairs emission. It was determined that when neutrinos (antineutrinos) scatter at the electrons in a magnetic field, the gas consisting of only the electrons having left handed circular polarization and the gas consisting of only the electrons having right handed circular polarization are heated by neutrinos asymmetrically. The heating asymmetry of the above mentioned gases has been  calculated by V. A. Huseynov. The new theoretical methods suggested by him enable us to detect neutrinos and antineutrinos and to distinguish their flavours.  V. A. Huseynov showed the new possible sources of high-energy cosmic charged leptons. The scientific results obtained by V. A. Huseynov enable us to explain a number of possible reasons for the positron excess encountered in the structure of cosmic rays.
