Main scientific achievements For the first time crystalline complex compounds of stable nitroxyl radical containing paramagnetic ligand (Schiff bases, carboxylates, xanthogenates and so on) were synthesized. Their crystalline and molecular structures were studied and distances between paramagnetic centers were determined. For the first time electron exchange energy between spin centers in these systems were determinated. It was shown that entry of radical center into coordination sphere of metal ion (bivalent copper) results its activation in redox reactions. Kinetics and mechanism of redox reactions between stable radicals and aromatic amines (diamines) proceeding with the formation of kation radicals have been studied. In copper salicylaldiminates new oxidative C-C coupling reaction in coordinated ligands have been observed. In recent years the works on obtaining new metal complex compounds and investigation their structures and reactivity were carried out by A.A.Medjidov. The kinetics and mechanism of the oxidative dehydrogenation reaction of coordinated o-hydroxybenzil amines and the reduction of coordinated azomethine bond were studied. The new hydrothermal redox method for obtaining of the metals and metal oxides nanocomposites was elaborated.
