Basic scientific achievements For the first time in Azerbaijani folkloristics, a comprehensive study was conducted on the system of mythological-cosmogonic concepts and their theoretical foundations in relation to their transformation within our folklore. The research revealed that the motif of the miraculous birth of the hero, encountered in Azerbaijani epic texts, originates from the emergence of the first ancestor or cultural hero present in mythological-cosmogonic representations
