Mammadov Firudin Ibrahim oglu was born on July 1, 1936 in the village of Shahtakhti in Sharur district. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Industry Institute named after M. Azizbeyov with the Order of the Red Labor Flag (1958). He was Doctor of Philosophy in Technical Sciences (1967), Doctor of Technical Sciences (1993), Associate Professor (1995). In 2001 he was elected Corresponding Member of ANAS. The scientist worked as a laboratory technician, technician, engineer, chief engineer, senior researcher at the Oil Chemistry and Chemistry Department (1958-1968). Since 2012 he has been the head of the department of Sumgait State University. F.Mammadov's research is mainly focused on the creation of technical means of informatics. He worked on the theoretical foundations of whole-core electromagnetic transmitters designed to measure non-electric quantities. F.Mammadov is the author of 34 inventions and 254 scientific works. Under his guidance 1 doctor of sciences and 15 doctors of philosophy were trained. He was awarded with “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan” (2006), Honored Scientist of the Republic of Azerbaijan (2007). F.Mammadov died on June 8, 2017. |
