Mukhtarov Abdulla Ibrahim oglu
Mukhtarov Abdulla Ibrahim oglu was born on December 24, 1918 in the village of Sakhur, Rutul district of the Republic of Dagestan (Russian Federation). He graduated from Azerbaijan State University (now BSU) in 1944 with a degree in physics (theoretical physics).

In 1950 he defended PhD, in 1966 - Doctor of Science, in 1968 he became a professor, and in 1972 he was elected a corresponding member of the AAS. In 1950 he started his career as a senior lecturer at the Department of Theoretical Physics at Azerbaijan State University, was Dean of the Faculty of Physics (1965-1967), Head of the Theoretical Physics Department (1967-1988).

A.Mukhtarov's research is based on quantum theory of the field, elementary particles and nuclear physics, high energy physics and so on. It covers complex areas of theoretical physics

Mukhtarov is the author of more than 150 articles.

He was awarded the honorary titles and the “Honorary Order” and the “Honored Scientist”.

Corresponding member of ANAS Abdulla Mukhtarov died in 2013 in Baku.
