Basic activity directions	According to the decision of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (Anas) dated July 9, 2024 № 1710, the Department “History of philosophical thought and modern philosophy of the Turkic peoples” was established at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology. The study of the history of philosophical thought of the Turkic peoples with a rich scientific and cultural heritage, the history of philosophical ideas, especially in the context of modern requirements, is important for the formation of the fundamental principles of Turkic unity. The study of the cultural and philosophical heritage of the Turkic world from the past to the present day, in other words, the study of its national and general thinking is one of the important factors. Also, the formation of the philosophical ideas of individual thinkers of the Turkic peoples in a single form is of relevance. One of the important directions of the state policy implemented under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev is the development of political, diplomatic, economic, cultural and scientific ties with the Turkic countries, where we have common ethnic and cultural values.
