Basic activity directions   Synthesis of more effective new antioxidant additives and physiologically active nitrogen-, oxygen- and sulfur-containing heterocyclic compounds and their metal complexes, using the possibilities of fine organic synthesis and computer chemistry, and the study of their various functional properties, mechanism of action and structural efficiency to develop scientific foundations for the selection of promising organic reagents based on the relationship between them.
Main scientific achievements

Based on the results of fundamental research, new additives with a high combined effect that prevent the oxidation of lubricants and fuels have been synthesized;

highly effective synergistic compositions of these additives have been developed;

As a result of the international joint research conducted with leading specialists of the Center for Computer Research at the University of Buffalo, the experimental and theoretical mechanism of some one-stage multicomponent reactions was studied in detail using quantum chemical calculations by computer programs. Also, the spatial and asymmetric isomeric forms of these compounds were studied in detail by X-ray diffraction analysis and it was confirmed that the substance was more stable in the trans-isomeric state.

Together with scientists from the Ataturk and Bartin Universities of Turkey, the antioxidant activity of 80 new physiologically active substances in living organisms, including the inhibitory effect on various enzymes and isoenzymes, was studied and their high efficiency was established. Representatives of the studied substances containing individual functional groups exhibit a high inhibitory effect on some global diseases of modern medicine, such as a malignant tumor (cancer), Alzheimer's disease (memory loss, mental retardation), glaucoma, diabetes mellitus and other pathological processes. Some of the studied compounds are 10 times more effective than tocopherol and α-trolox preparations used as standard preparations.
