| Main scientific achievements | The sector of the fieldworks according to the research-scientific investigations of the Institute, plays a significant role on the planning and organization of the fieldworks, controls the works of the expeditions, and carries out the discussion and the documentation of their reports. The collaborators of the sector also fulfill the works of individual plan and contracts and they succeeded in the following achievements on the investigation of the topic of “Primitive society and early class communities”:
1. As a result of constant archaeological investigations of Serkertepe settlement (Khachmaz region) it was determined that the north-eastern region of Azerbaijan took a local and specific place at the Kura-Arax culture areal in Early Bronze Age 2. General investigations about the Cyclops structures, the monumental sites of the transition period to the primitive class communities, had already been finished; 3. Several complexes of early farming communities in Mil plain had been discovered and investigated; 4. Another city place that belong to Albania, the ancient Azerbaijan state, had been discovered and investigated on the crossroad of the Mil and Karabagh plains, in the basin of Gargarchay; 5. Social-political and cultural-economical life of medieval Shabran city had been investigated by the archaeological materials. |
