Scientific-practical conference on "Language factor in the state building policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan" was held jointly by Institute of Linguistics after Nasimi, Mingachevir City Department of Education and Mingachevir State University.

Akif Hajiyev, the rector of the university, said that such events have created a good ground for future activities and revealed new ideas. A.Hajiyev emphasized the importance of applying innovative methods in the field of science and education, as well as the necessity of unity of educational opportunities and scientific researches in the face of contemporary challenges.

Then academician Mohsun Nagisoylu, director of the Institute of Linguistics spoke about state language policy in the republic, modern state of linguistics sciences, as well as the application of scientific innovations in linguistics. He said that every citizen should pay attention to his own language, calling his mother tongue as a nation, national identity.

Then the department heads - Professor Ismayil Mammadli, Doctor of Philology Sevinj Aliyeva and Associate Professor Qatiba Guliyeva stated the implementation of "State Program" on the new linguistic fields, the modern state of linguistics, the proper application, use and linguistic development of the Azerbaijani language.

In the end, the Protocol on Bilateral Cooperation was signed between the Institute of Linguistics and Mingachevir State University to strengthen the cooperation and provide future joint activities.
