Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Director of ANAS Institute of Zoology, PhD in Physics Elman Yusifov visited the Institute of Plant and Animal Ecology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

During the visit, was discussed the creation of an international laboratory on the basis of a contract between the two institutions. A new laboratory will provide a comparative analysis of the biological diversity of the Urals and Azerbaijan, the study of genetic habitat variations and the determination of their status.

Migration routes of migratory birds, as well as the study of the history and populations of animal ecology will also be explored. During the trip, new scientific directions and scientific leaders for a number of young scientists were also identified.
