Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Academician Roin Metreveli, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli, on the occasion of President Ilham Aliyev's re-election as the head of the country.

The letter says:

"President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Mr. Isa Akbar oglu Habibbayli!

Please accept our congratulations on behalf of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia on the occasion of Ilham Heydar oglu Aliyev's rightful victory in the extraordinary presidential elections!

We want to congratulate you on another  historic day for the people of Azerbaijan! After the restoration of the independence of your country, the presidential elections were held for the first time in the entire territory of Azerbaijan!

We wish that the results of the elections will be good for the friendly and brotherly people of Azerbaijan, for the support and strengthening of relations between our countries.

Like our countries, the  academies of sciences and scientists of the two countries worked side by side for the development of science and enthusiastically supported scientific cooperation. As an example, we can mention numerous scientific conferences, seminars, meetings and other events. We are sure that, standing at the head of Azerbaijani science and sticking to traditions, you will spare no effort to further strengthen the scientific ties between the National Academies of Sciences of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Undoubtedly, this will be effective for the development of science in both sister countries.
