Employees of ANAS Institute of Geography visited the Sumgayit-Siyazan massif and the Absheron peninsula in connection with field research. Scientists investigated soil degradation in the context of the interaction of natural and anthropogenic factors.
Taking into account the main phase of the development of ephemeral relationship between soil and plants, the base stations in the desert conditions were determined, anthropogenic, including man-made and agrogenic factors were estimated. Samples of soil, vegetation and water were taken for analysis. The results of the study will accurately assess and predict land degradation in the area.
