Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Institute of Botany won the second stage of the competition "Promotion of Earth Surveillance Services for Sustainable Development of Azerbaijan" announced by “Azercosmos”.

The competition main goal is to promote the usage of “Azersky” satellite imagery across the country and to stimulate the development of remote sensing services in Azerbaijan.

According to the project "Studying forest ecosystems in the south-eastern part of the Greater Caucasus", the current status of flora and vegetation of forest ecosystems in the Greater Caucasus (Guba district) will be studied under the influence of various anthropogenic factors and climatic variability.

The management of "Azercosmos" met with participants of 10 successful projects.

During the meeting, in accordance with the competition requirements was presented a winning projects and satellite images from the specified territory.
