Recent Changes in Forest Insects and Pathogens Significance international conference held

A next meeting of the IUFRO Working Party Methodology of forest insect and disease survey in Central Europe, titled “Recent Changes in Forest Insects and Pathogens Significance” was held in Suceava, Romania.

The goal of the conference was to bring together researchers conducting research on forest pathology and entomology in a changing environment and discuss future prospects.

Attended by representatives from 22 countries, our country was represented by the head of Laboratory of ANAS Institute of Botany, Professor of ANAS Aghayeva Dilzara. At the event, D.Agayeva delivered a paper on “Powdery mildew fungi of forest trees and shrubs in Azerbaijan”. She also held extensive discussions on the prospects for collaboration with mycologists and explored internship opportunities for students and doctoral students abroad.

Note that, IUFRO with 125 years of history has more than 15,000 researchers from 700 organizations in more than 110 countries
