Representatives of the German company "AS + P" - Stephanie Vladka and Adem Tunja visited ANAS Republican Seismic Survey Center. The meeting was attended by Director General of the Center, corresponding member of ANAS Gurban Yetirmishli, chief engineer Rauf Muradov, head of the Seismology Department, Doctor of Geology and Mineralogy Tahir Mammadli and other employees of the Center.

G.Yetirmishli informed the guests on the seismic hazard assessment carried out at the center and the work on seismic microzoning in Baku.

AS + P representative Stephanie Vladka noted that seismic risk and vulnerable areas should be considered when developing a master plan for Baku. It was noted that, factors affecting the locations of mud volcanoes are also being considered. The parties also exchanged views on cooperation.

Since the German Project Company AS + P is currently working on a Master Plan in Baku, the meeting focused on assessing seismic risk in the capital and on the Absheron Peninsula.
