Republican Seismological Survey Center of ANAS held constituent assembly of the Council of young scientists and specialists, which was attended by the center's director, members of the Academic Council and the young members of the Institute. The event was opened by the director of the Republican Seismological Survey Center of ANAS, Dr. geology-mineralogy prof. Gurban Yetirmishli, who gave information about the history of the institution. Speaking about the expansion of seismic monitoring network in Azerbaijan, resulting in improved quality of complex seismological studies RCSS ANAS, G.Yetirmishli said that, in last year was celebrated 110th anniversary of the instrumental seismological researches in Azerbaijan. As a result, the realized work leading countries such as the USA, Japan, and Saudi Arabia interested in establishing cooperation with the Centre. According to the director, this year began operating four telemetry stations installed RCSS, thus the number of telemetry seismic stations in the country reached to 35. It was also noted that, 22 GPS stations were installed in the republic, Geochemistry and Geophysics Departments of Center were equipped with new technical equipment and devices. By vote, chairman of the Council of young scientists and researchers, which consisted of 11 people, has been appointed
