For the first time an Azerbaijani student won a gold medal in computer science at the international olympiad

The 16th International Zhoutykov Olympiad in physics, mathematics and computer science among schoolchildren was held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Azerbaijani students won 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medal in computer science, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals in mathematics and 1 bronze medal in physics.

Note that the gold medal in computer science won by Abutalib Namazov, an 11th grade student of the Lyceum with a physical, mathematical and informational bias at the Ministry of Education, is our first highest award in the history of international competitions in this subject.
