Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Director of the Institute of History of ANAS academician Yagub Mahmudov was awarded the Ataturk International Prize. The corresponding decision of the International Prize Committee of the International Academy of Sciences for the Study of the Turkic World was adopted on December 20, 2019.

Yagub Mahmudov was awarded this award for his outstanding contribution to the science and education of the Turkic world.

At a meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of History, scientific secretary Irada Aliyeva announced the decision of the International Committee of the Academy Prizes. She presented Yagub Mahmudov with a diploma, badge and commemorative plaque with the image of the founder of the Republic of Turkey, Mustafa Kamal Ataturk.

Recall that, earlier Yagub Mahmudov was elected an active member of the International Academy of Sciences for the Study of the Turkic World and was awarded the International Gold Star Academy award for his outstanding contributions.
