The State Seed Registration and Control Service under the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan has published a list of the State Register of selection achievements approved for use in agricultural production in the country in 2019.

According to the list, the scientists of the Sheki Regional Scientific Center of ANAS received patents as the creators of the varieties “Yagub” and “Chingiz” of silkworm and hybrids “Chingiz x Yagub” and “Yagub x Chingiz”. The research work was carried out in accordance with the "State Program for the Development of Cocoon Production and Sericulture in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2025."

The authors of 232 plant varieties and hybrids registered in 2019 were granted patents and certificates.
